Who we are
Oakton Alert is operated by Oakton Community College (d/b/a Oakton Alert). We send automated text messages to students who have opted in to receive tuition payment reminders, deadline notices, and related enrollment status notifications.
Information we collect and use
When you opt in to Oakton Alert (for example by texting START or by signing up through the college’s registration or payment process), we collect and use your mobile phone number to send you automated SMS messages about your account, payment deadlines, and related reminders. We do not use this information for advertising or unrelated marketing.
Sale and sharing of your mobile information
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer your phone number or SMS opt-in status to third parties for their marketing or promotional use. We do not transfer this information to affiliates, related companies, or other businesses for any purpose other than delivering the Oakton Alert service to you—including any transfer without payment, such as sharing with friendly or partner businesses, which we do not do.
SMS opt-in data and consent
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent (your agreement to receive Oakton Alert messages) will not be shared with any third parties for purposes other than delivering the service you signed up for.
We will not share your opt-in to the Oakton Alert SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. Your choices
You can opt out of Oakton Alert at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can reply HELP for more information or contact us at the support email listed on this site. After you opt out, we will not send you further messages unless you opt back in (for example by replying START).
